Henrythenavigator the new favourite for Epsom Derby

Henrythenavigator is down to 4/1 favourite with Bet365 Online Bookmaker for the Epsom Derby on Saturday June 7 after beating New Approach in the Irish 2000 Guineas.

Henrythenavigator became a dual Guineas hero when adding the Irish 2000 to his English Guineas win today (24 May, 2008). In the process Henrythenavigator beat New Approach more easily than he did at Newmarket. Henrythenavigator was running on very strongly at the end of the one mile trip of the Irish Guineas and connections are seriously eyeing a date in Epsom's Derby, over half a mile further.

However it may be several days before a firm decision is made as connections mull over the options, and enjoy deliberately keeping the racing world on tenterhooks, in the aftermath of Henrythenavigator's latest victory.

His trainer Aidan O'Brien revealed that Henrythenavigator is seriously being considered. It would be a surprise if Henrythenavigator's owners chose to avoid the Epsom Derby, the biggest race in the UK, especially as their horse is now strong favourite in the betting.
