Casual Conquest may pay up for The Epsom Derby

Casual Conquest, who hacked up in the Leopardstown Derby Trial, may yet be supplemented for The Epsom Derby for which he is 7/1 in the betting with Bet365 Online Bookmaker.

Casual Conquest's trainer Dermot Weld has not ruled out coughing up the seventy five thousand pound supplementary fee necessary.

Weld also has the option of running in the French Derby. His charge would have to finish in the first four in The Epsom Derby to ensure getting the entry fee covered by the prizemoney.

With a high profile absentee in New Approach, Weld called into question the onerous supplementary system employed by Epsom.

Casual Conquest had Washington Irving well beaten at Leopardstown. Despite that drubbing, Aidan O'Brien has not ruled his colt, 25/1 in the Derby betting with Bet365 Online Bookmaker, out of Epsom.
